Autumn Eye Makeup Look |

The final look on Adrianna.

The final look.

I have to say, I have the world's bestest friend ever! She loves it when I do her makeup for her but this time she let me do it for my blog, I mean, come on isn't she just fantastic? So I decided to take full advantage and do an Autumnal Eye Makeup look on her as she has amazing eyes and plus the colours really make them pop. I thought I would show you guys what I used to create this look using some lovely warm gold colours and most are from one single palette, I hope that some of you might re-create it yourselves, if you do, please send me some photos as I would love to see it. Please bear in mind that trying to take photos of your bestfriends makeup and be serious at the same time does not work haha, but we got some good ones.

For this look I wanted to use the Makeup Revolution Light and Shade Palette, which I have reviewed here. I have been loving this palette and thought It would be nice to use some of the lovely warm colours to create a look for Autumn. This look is gorgeous and definitely turned out a lot better than I thought it would, a nude pink or even a berry lip would go really nice with this look and it is super easy to create, here is what I used:
 Base
I didn't use an eye primer when doing this eye look because when I have done Adrianna's makeup in the past her eyes aren't that oily and the eyeshadow stays in place. So for her base I just applied a little bit of concealer over her lids and then set that with a pressed translucent powder.

 Eyeshadow - Lid
So for all over the lid I used this gorgeous gold eyeshadow from L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Mono eyeshadow in the shade Golden Nude 204, it is a very glittery, highly pigmented eyeshadow that has been pressed into a creamy, powder form. I have been using this eyeshadow on myself for a little while now and it is my go to for everyday. I have blue eyes and this gold colour really makes them pop, plus it is the perfect shade for Autumn, don't you think? This eyeshadow retails for £5.49 at Boots here and this eyeshadow does last quite a long time.

Eyeshadow used all over the lid.
  Crease & Outer Corner
For the crease and outer corner of Adrianna's eye I started off by using this light neutral brown shade from the palette, which you can see down below, and blended this through the crease and mainly used this as a transition shade for the other colours that I used. The great thing about this palette is that the eyeshadows are very pigmented and you don't get a lot of fall out from them either.

First shade used in the crease and outer corner. Used as a transition shade.
The next shade I used was this gorgeous burnt orangey, reddish brown colour, it has to be my favourite shade in this palette. It just screams Autumn to me. So I carefully applied some of this ontop of that light brown shade that we had applied and made sure to blend into the crease so that there were absolutely no harsh lines. The thing about this colour is that it is not too pigmented so you can go in with a light hand and build up the colour as much as you wish. This colour really brought out the green tones in Adrianna's eyes and just looked stunning.
Second shade used in the crease and outer corner.
Lastly, the colour I used for Adrianna's outer corner to deepen the look and give it a little more depth and definition was this slightly darker cool toned brown. This is a great shade for using every day and I love how it can deepen up any look and add that little extra something. I didn't use a lot of this colour as I wanted that burnt orange colour to stand out and be the main focus but jut for the outer corner I wanted something slightly deeper. If you love this palette as much as I do then you can pick it up from Superdrug for just £8.00 here.

Third and final shade used in the crease and outer corner to give more depth.
Eyeliner
For eyeliner I didn't want to add a winged liquid liner to Adrianna's eyes as she has quite rounded and slightly hooded shaped eyes and by adding eyeliner it can sometimes take over the whole look, so instead I decided to use an eye pencil to define her eyes. The one I used is by Rimmel London and it is the Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer pencil. This is such a creamy and easy to use eye pencil and it also comes with a smudger brush on the other end. I used the shade Noir and you can pick this up from Superdrug for £3.99 here.

Eyeliner used to line Adrianna's eyes.
Mascara
Last but certainly not least, I let Adrianna add a few coats of mascara to her upper and lower lashes. Mascara is the hardest part of doing someone else's makeup so I let her do the honours. I just love this mascara and how it can complete any eye look. This mascara is the Lash Sensational from Maybelline, you can pick it up from Boots for £7.99 here.
I have also done a review on this mascara too if you would like to check that out, you can find it here.

Overall I love this makeup look and always do it on myself, the products that I used are all affordable that you can pick up from the drugstore. If you would like to see any other posts like this then please leave me a comment with suggestions and also a big thank you to Adrianna for letting me use her as my model, hopefully she agrees to letting me do it again!

Let me know your favourite Autumn eye looks in the comments!

All my love,
Caitlin x
